Raquel Noriko is the visionary behind Culture Curl Studio and has been a Cosmetologist since 2009. She has dedicated herself to the hair and beauty industry, combining her love for creativity, enhancing natural beauty, and forming genuine connections with people.

She is a licensed cosmetologist both in California and Hawaii.
Raquel’s mastery in customized coloring and cutting has made her a standout professional.
She brings extensive experience, having built her clientele in both California and Maui while traveling internationally with esteemed beauty brands like Deva Curl, Ulta, and Sephora. Since 2015, she has specialized in curly hair, working with clients across California, Maui, Oahu, the Big Island, and Kauai-all while residing on Maui.

With a wealth of knowledge and experience in the beauty industry, Raquel established Culture Curl Studio in Maui, July 1 2022. The salon focuses on curly hair care and education, providing a friendly and inclusive space where clients of all backgrounds can feel confident and celebrate their curls.
Adopted from Maui Humane Society in 2024 by Raquel Noriko, Maluhia brings her peaceful spirit to the salon and good vibes. Whether she’s napping in her cozy corner or offering a playful paw, Maluhia is our little light, here to make your salon visit extra special!
